Margaret Truman
LANARK - Mrs. Margaret M. (Kenneth) Truman, 73, of Lanark, died
Tuesday morning in Americana Health Care Center, Davenport, Iowa, after a long
illness.
She and her husband operated a hardware and LP-gas business in Lanark
for many years. She also was employed in the office of Mount Carroll Mutual
Insurance Co. for a time.
Born April 12, 1912 in Mount Carroll, she was the daughter of William
F. and May (Bassett) Weber. She was a 1939 graduate of Mount Carroll Hi
School and attended Brown Business College, Freeport. She married Kenne
Truman June 18, 1939 in Mount Carroll.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Mount Carrol
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Karan (John) Mooberry of
Henry; a son, Duane A. Truman of Davenport, Iowa; five grandchildren; a
sister, Dorothy Fulrath of Rock Falls; and a brother, Ray Weber of West
Chicago.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Russell-Frank Funeral Home
in Lanark. Burial will be in Lanark Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial has
been established for the American Cancer Society.
