Mrs. Miles was born on June 19, 1924 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Comer and Gertrude Bassett. She was raised in Houston, she married George Miles on March 20, 1953. She worked as an accountant and then retired to Allen, Oklahoma in 1983. She had most recently settled in Panhandle, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Miles. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Webster of Panhandle, Texas (formerly of Vian) and Julie Clark of Spokane, Washington; two sons, Bob Palmer of Channelview, Texas and Tommy Miles of Oceanside, California; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
