  Notes	David Bassett, son of Daniel and Margaret Bassett, was born in 1860 in Llanelly, Carmarthen, Wales. He died 7 Jan 1929 in Park View, Felinfoel, Llanelli, Carmarthen, Wales. He married Mary Roberts. She was born in 1860 in Llanelly, Carmarthen, Wales. Mary died in 1938. David Bassett, son of Daniel Bassett (aged 21) married Mary Roberts, daughter of Thomas Roberts, (aged 21) on 2 Apr 1881. His address was “Kingshead”, Llanelly. (LRO) He was a coal mine owner. They are both buried in Adulum cemetery in Felinfoel with David's parents and two children Arthur Bassett who died in infancy and Margaret Hannah who died aged 14 months on 17 Jan 1891. From List of Mines in Great Britain and the Isle of Man, 1918, I find Cefn-y-Bryn Colliery Co. Ltd., Adelaide Chambers, Swansea as the owner of the mine, David Bassett, manager. His grandson has a watch with "Presented to Mr. D. Bassett MANAGER Cefn-y-Bryn Colliery by employees as a token of esteem FEB 28 1920" and a bookcase:"Presented to Mr. Dd.
