Mrs. Pollingue Dies
Lafayette, June 24 ? Funeral services for Mrs. E.P. Pollingue, 73, who died at her residence in this city, were held yesterday at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, followed by interment in the St. Martin Catholic cemetery in St. Martinville. Mrs. Pollinque was the daughter of the late Judge Joseph Carter Bassett and Mrs. Marie Eugenie Richard Bassett. Surviving are two sons, Daniel Pollingue of Washington and O?Neil Po9llingue of Port Barre; one daughter, Miss Lillian Pollingue of Lafayette, four sisters, including Sister Mary Joseph of New Orleans, Mrs. H.B. Alleman of Chicago, Mother M.A. Bassett of Grand Coteau and Mrs. J.F. Stansbury, Lafayette, and one brother, J.W. Bassett of New Orleans.
