  Notes	Olney, Illinois Advocate, Thursday, January 18, 1945 Mrs. Eldon (Alvina Bassett) Smith, and her brother Johnny Bassett, 14, were killed in a train accident near Kankakee, IL last Thursday. Also killed was Charles Milam, formerly of Decker township, Olney, IL, his daughter, Mrs. Lula Best. Mr. Smith had employment in that vicinity, and Mr. Milam and Mrs. Best were going there to find work. Mrs. Best's husband is overseas with the U.S. Army.
