  Notes	Settlement Document June 9th, 1760 Present Peter Burrell, Esq. Benjamin Greenwood, Esq. Hannah Basset now residing in the parish Of Bromley widow and relict of Edward Basset Collier on her oath saith that her Said late husband was the son of Alexander Basset an Inhabitant in the parish of Rotherfield in the county of Sussex and was born therein and had not gained any other Settlement as she this Examinant hath often heard him often say and declare And the she hath by him two children Mary about 10yrs; and Stephen aged about 8 years Besides she this examinant further says that about 17 years ago she tired herself to and did serve one whole year with John Aleham a farmer in the said parish of Rotherfield and hath said that the said two children were born in the same Parish And that she hath not gained any subsequent Settlement to her knowledge in her own right.
