Dr. L.H. Bassett, Psychiatrist, Succumbs
Dr. Louis H. Bassett, 48, a psychiatrist at the Mental Hygiene Clinic of the Veterans Administration regional office, died Saturday at Shelton at the home of a brother, Roy Bassett.
Dr. Bassett requested there be no funeral service.
Dr. Bassett had been with the Veterans Administration the past year. He previously was in private practice in Detroit. He was born in Nome, Alaska. He was reared in Shelton and was graduated from the University of Washington and Rush Medical College, University of Illinois.
Dr. Bassett was a member of King County Medical Society, the Washington and American Medical Associations and the American Psychiatric Association. He was certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He also was a Mason.
Surviving besides his brother are two other brothers, S. Clarke Bassett, Seattle, and G.E. Bassett, Karachi, Pakistan.
