Cora Lee Bass
Cora Lee Bass, 81, of Fanning Springs, died at Haven Hospice of Chiefland on April 19, 2009. Born in Alma, Geo. On July 18, 1927 she resided many years in Gainesville and retired from Gresham Drugs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Bass. She is survived by three daughters, Jeannie (Russ) Pierce of Gainesville, Pam Wilson of Fanning Springs, and Debbie (Doyle) Starling of Ocala; two sisters, Lucille (Donald) Wilder of Fanning Springs and Judy Rhode of Charleston, S.C.; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Shelby.
Mrs. Bass was devoted to her family and loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 22 at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Watson Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Lindsey conducting the service. Interment was at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to make a donation in her memory to Haven Hospice of Chiefland, 311 NE 9th St., Chiefland FL 32626.
