Suzen Delore Gilmore
1950 ? 2023
Suzan Delores McVay Gilmore passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023 after battling Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and Liver Failure.
Suzan was born on May 15, 1950 in Auburn, WA to parents Clyde and Louise (Bassett) McVay and welcomed by her older sister Nancy. After moving several times when she was young the family returned to Buckley WA where she would remain the majority of her life.
Suzan worked at several different healthcare establishments before becoming a longtime employee of the Walmart Corporation at the Bonney Lake WA store where she would spend almost 20 years.
Suzan loved the beach and would take countless trips throughout her life but enjoyed spending time there with her grandkids the most. She was a charter member of the Wilkeson Eagles #1409 Ladies Auxiliary and an avid knitter. Knitting blankets, hats and scarves for friends and family and also making sure all three of her grandkids had several blankets each ?for the great grandkids she wouldn?t have the chance to meet?.
Suzan is survived by her daughters Angie (Danny) Clarke and Billiee Gilmore, the three absolute lights of her life, her grandchildren, Denton, Dustin and Molly Clarke, her sister Nancy (Gerald) Loomis and her niece Shelly (Brian) Pringle.
Suzan was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Louise and her nephew Kelly Loomis.
The family would like to say a special Thank You to Heritage House Assisted Living in Buckley WA as well as Franciscan Hospice.
