      Merchant Mariner Murray B. Boyle Dies in New York

      Irvington ON HUDSON, N.Y. ? Murray B. Boyle, 61, formerly of Francestown, N.H., died June 10 after a sudden illness.
      He was born in Baltimore, Md., and after active duty with the Merchant Marine was named purchasing agent for the Northeast Engineering Corp of Manchester, N.H. During World War II, the ship to which he was assigned was the first Allied vessel to arrive at a French port during the Normandy coast invasion.
      After the war he resumed his career as a merchant mariner and in recent years was in the marine salvage business in Florida.
      His family includes his wife Mrs. Matilda (Basset) of this town, also formerly of Francestown, a daughter, Mrs. Scott Brackett of Meredith, N.H., two sisters, Mrs. Spencer Brown of Pleasantville, N.Y. and Mrs. Harold Grammatica of Westminster, Calif.; and two granddaughters.
      A memorial service will be held June 23 at 2 p.m. at the Old Meeting House in Francestown. The Rev. Alvin Kershaw of Emmanuel Church Boston, Mass., will officiate.
      In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the George Holmes Bixby Library Book Fund, Francestown, 03043.
