Marian A. Bassett
Beloved mother, grandmother and friend Marian Amelia Aldous Bassett passed
away peacefully on March 16, 1996 surrounded by loved ones. She was born
August 23, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Sidney and Hortense
Bringhurst Aldous. Married Alden R. Bassett on December 15, 1934 in Salt Lake
City, Utah, he passed away on February 15, 1984. She had a gentle sweet nature
and touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. She was
a very talented seamstress and taught sewing for many years. An avid bowler
and loved to travel. Survived by children: Barbara A. (Verlan) Nielsen;
Beverly Jean Thygerson; Ron (Mary) Bassett and Cathy (Patrick) Alsup all of
Salt Lake City, Utah; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in
death by a brother who died at birth and a sister Millie Kay Eckenrode.
Graveside services will he held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday march 20, 1996 in t
Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Clermont section). Friends may call at Wasatch
Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30
p.m. prior to the graveside services. The family would like to express
appreciation to Dr. Francis and Dr. Mariana for their wonderful care and
kindness. A special thanks to Janice, her home health nurse and to her best
friends in life Vivian and Grant Peterson.
