  Notes	Arlin Lester Bassett died in 1983 in California after being hit by an automobile. Isaac (Ike) Harrison Bassett was a thoroughbred jockey, winning the Longacres Mile in 1944. His younger brother, Arlin, was a jockey as well, and more famous in the sport than Ike. Among other races, he won the Bay Meadows Handicap in 1944.
