She was born and lived in Seymour prior to retiring to Florida. She was married to the late Sidney Bassett. She is survived by daughters, Evelyn Horton, and Eleanor Dorman, both of Mount Dora, Fla.; son, Robert of Bloomfield; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial service and burial will be in Seymour at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to FIDELCO, Bloomfield. The Orlando Sentinel (FL) - 17 Feb 1995 Bessie M. She was a member of Seymour Congregational Church. She served as past president of the Americal Legion Auxiliary in Seymour and was past vice president for the American Legion Auxiliary for Connecticut. Survivors: son, Robert L.; Bloomfield, Conn.; daughters, Evelyn B. Banks, Eleanor B. Dorman, both of Mount Dora; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Beyers Funeral Home, Umatilla.
