December 17, 2013 Carolyn Hodgson Nyenhouse
Carolyn Nyenhouse, 89, of Asbury, New Jersey, passed away at the Care Center of Lopatcong on December 14, 2013. Born: She was the daughter of the late William and Carrie (Bassett) Hodgson. She was born in Patterson, New Jersey on April 23, 1924. Personal: She was a 4-H Leader. She enjoyed sewing. She was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church and the Bikota Woman's Club of the Asbury Methodist Church. Survivors: She was married to the late David Nyenhouse. She is survived by her son Mitchell Nyenhouse and his wife Mira of Califon, New Jersey. Her son Kurt and his wife Karen of Upper Mount Bethel Township, Pennsylvania. She is survived by one grandson Christopher Nyenhouse of Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania. She is survived by two nieces, Cecelia Blalock and Leslie Lang. She is also survived by a nephew Mark Hodgson. She was preceded in death by two brothers Albert and William Hodgson Services: Calling hours will be held on December 19, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, 136 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey 07882. A memorial service will be held on December 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted. The family requests Basket and Table Arrangements only. Cremation to be held at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The DeVoe Funeral Service has been entrusted with her arrangements.
