Harriet A. Conklin
Harriet A. Conklin, 85, of 76 Parker St. Gouverneur widow of Clarence Conklin, died early Sunday afternoon, March 10, 1985 in Edward John Noble Hospital where she had been admitted Saturday.
The funeral will be Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at Burr-Green Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald A. Service, pastor, St. James Church, officiating. Burial will be in East Riverside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Gouverneur Rescue Squad.
She is survived by five daughters, Mary McClure, Margaret Bresett, Erlene Mousaw, Joan Sheen and Kay Perry, all of Gouverneur; a son, Herbert, Edwards; 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a brother, George Bassett, Cambridge. A son, Francis A. Died June 7, 1982.
She was born in the Town of DeKalb, May 6, 1899, daughter of Arthur and Margaret Lawrence Bassett, and was married to Clarence Conklin at Canton, Dec. 2, 1920.
They operated a dairy farm on the Peabody Road for a number of years. Mr. Conklin, who also was employed by the Hyatt mines and International Talc Co., died May 6, 1976.
