Dwayne Caldwell officiating. Mrs. Bassett passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Clay County Hospital. She was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker. Mrs. Bassett is survived by two daughters: Sherry Bassett Mota (Dan) of Tucson, AZ and Robin Cofield (Gerald) of Woodland; two sons: Michael F. Bassett of Wadley and Larry M. Bassett of Tucson, AZ; one sister, Jean Whaley of Roanoke; one nephew, Jacob Israel Bassett of Wadley plus four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Truitt Euclid Knight and Myrtle Pike Knight; her husband, Marvin F. Bassett; two sisters: Wynona Truitt and Doris Knight and two brothers: Wendel Knight and Bobby R. Knight. Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
