- Prairie Residents Wed Half Century
Prairie Du Sac, Wis. ? Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bass observed their golden wedding anniversary at the home which they share with their only son, Floyd, in Troy township.
The wedding, 50 years ago, was at the home of the bride?s father, Imla Kellogg, in Stone?s Pociket, Sumpter township. That farm is now owned by Walter Groth.
Three guests at the wedding 50 years ago were also present at the golden anniversary, a sister of the bride, Mrs. Myrtle Kellogg Hoover, and two cousins, Mrs. Fannihe Astle Foster and Mrs. Jessie Johnson Meyer.
The couple made their home for years on a farm at Kern?s corners, in Sumpter, until the coming of the Badger Ordance works, when they moved with their son, Floyd, and his family to the home in Troy. They also have a grandson, Harlan, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Howard Hasheider, both of Troy.
