  Notes	Cresent News, Ohio, August 12, 2007 John Bassett NAPOLEON - John "Jay" C. Bassett, 85, Napoleon, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky. He was born Aug. 25, 1921, in North Baltimore, the son of Cecil and Treva (Rader) Bassett. He married Hermine Barth, w preceded him in death. He worked as a conductor for DTI Railroad for 30 years until his retirement in 1981. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW. Surviving are a son, Joseph (Ruth), Napoleon; a stepson, John Farkas, Treasure Island, Fla.; a sister, Alice Menden, Toledo; and six grandchildren. Preceding him in death w brother, Cecil Jr. Services and burial will be private. Snyder-Wesche Funeral home, Napoleon, is handling arrangements. Preferred memorials are to the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
