Mrs. Charles J. Bessette
Mrs. Charles J. Bessette, formerly of 154 Main St., West Springfield, died Wednesday in a Chicopee nursing home. She was born in West Springfield, the daughter of the late Patrick and Lear (LaBonte) Norris, and had been a longtime West Springfield resident. She lived in Wayne, Mich., for three years before entering the nursing home. She was the widow of Charles J. Bessette. She leaves a son, Eugene Bessette of West Springfield; a brother, Arthur Norris of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Spear of West Springfield and Mrs. Lillian Sauter of S. Petersburg, Fla.; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Funeral will be at Curran-Jones funeral home Saturday at 8 a.m. with a requiem high mass in Immaculate Conception Church, West Springfield, at 9. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, West Springfield. Visiting hours are tonight from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
