Gladys A. Bassett, 87
Nurse; once worked at Cape Cod Hospital, lived in Orleans
WALPOLE - Gladys A. (Harlor) Bassett, 87, a resident of Walpole and formerly of Orleans, died Monday at the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood.
She was the wife of the late Buhl Bassett.
Mrs. Bassett lived in Walpole for the past 10 years and had resided in Marshfield, Orleans and Mansfield.
She was born and educated in Mansfield schools.
She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1932 and the Sturdy Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1936.
She was a homemaker and worked as a registered nurse at both the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro and Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. While living in Marshfield, she was active at thw YWCA.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great--nephews.
Funeral service and burial will be private.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at New Pond Village in Walpole.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
