Robert Lee Bassett
MACON - Robert Lee Bassett III, age 42, of 3115 Avondale Mill Road, died June 11, 2007, in Monroe County. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 14, 2007, at 1 P.M. in Avondale Baptist Church. Burial will be private. Rev. Marty Watson will officiate.
Mr. Bassett was born in Bibb County and was a member of Avondale Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of a clearing and grading company and an avid motorcyclist. Mr. Bassett was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Hattie O'Reilly and Robert and Annie Ruth Bassett.
Survivors include his step-son, Brandon Graves of South Carolina; parents, Robert and Helen Bassett Jr. of Macon; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and wife Tammy Bassett of Byron.
Contributions in Mr. Bassett's name may be made to Avondale Baptist Church, 6970 Cochran Field Road, Macon, Ga. 31216.
The family will be at the residence and receive friends at Crest Lawn Funeral Home Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
