Bassett Uylsses G. Bassett, 64, a retired farmer, died Oct 13 at Hannibal. He is survived by his wife, Ida Myers Bassett; four stepsons, Thomas, Harold, Jewett and Charles Myers; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Woodruff and Mrs. Lillian Parks of Fulton and Mrs. Lucinda Huntley of Phoenix, and a brother, Sidney Bassett of Granby. Funeral services were held from the Gates funeral home in Baldwinsville Thursday afternoon. Rev. Boyd A. Little officiating; interment at Jacksonville. The Fulton Patriot, Thursday, 3 Dec 1931 Sidney Bassett, 71, of South Granby, escaped serious injury Thursday evening, when he was thrown from his wagon in a collision with an automobile driven by James C. Kenyon, Jr., of South Fourth street. The accident occurred on the abandoned portion of the Phoenix-Fulton highway near Stop 22.
