Charles E. Henderson, 65, Hope died Saturday at Columbus Region
Hospital. Born on Nov. 26, 1932, in Bartholomew County. He was the son of John
and Anna (Graham) Henderson.
On June 16, 1962, he married Mary M. Bassett, and she survive
He worked at Golden Foundry, Columbus, for 34 years, retiring in May
1992. He was a member of Hope First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Lettie Harker, Hope, a son, Tom L.
Henderson, Columbus, two brothers, Bert Henderson, Columbus, and John
Henderson, Indianapolis, three sisters, Nellie Sackman and Mary Ogle, both of
Columbus, and Carol Tungate, North Vernon, and three grandchildre
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sister
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Norman Funeral Home, Hope,
with the Rev. Tim Dillingham officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery,
Ray's Crossing, Indiana. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope First Baptist
Church building fund.
