  Notes	Shelbyville News, July 5, 1995 Jack C. Bassett, 60, 114 N. Hamilton St. died Wednesday at his home. Mr. Bassett was born Oct. 31, 1934 in Shelbyville, to Edward and Lettie (Baker) Bassett. He was married Dec. 17, 1968 to Betty Lee, who survives. He was a truck driver for Shelby Gravel Ind. and belonged to American Legion Post No. 70. Survivors are: four daughters, Mrs. Bob (Peggy) Underwood, Fairland, Saundra Bassett, Mrs. Jeff (Dawn) Scroggham, and Nicole Bassett, all of Shelbyville; three sons, Anthony Bassett and Jack E. Bassett, both of Shelbyville, and Donald of Peru; four sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Marilyn) Wilson, Mrs. Joe (Ruth) Lanwerlen and Lucy Saunders, all of Shelbyville, and Mr Charles (Mary) Henderson, Hope; and seven grandchildren. A brother and five sisters preceded him death. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Murphy Funeral Home with the Rev. Marion Stice officiating. Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery, Rays Crossing. Graveside military rites will be conducted by military organizations. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby County Hospice.
