She married Dale E. Bastin on March 20, 1948. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1990. She worked as an assembler for TRW cinch for 28 years. She retired in 1985. She was a resident of Shelbyville for most of her lif Survivors include one son; Bob Bastin, Shelbyville, five daughters, Mrs. Don (Patricia) Trent; Mrs. Gary (Kathy) Kelley, Mrs. Dale (Doralee) Elliott, Germany, Mrs. William (Cindy) Mays, Rushville and Mrs. Tim (Dalenda) Higdon, Shelbyville, one brother, Mr. Jack Bassett, five sisters, Mrs. Charlie (Mary) Henderson, Hope, Mrs. Wayne (Marilyn) Wilson, Shelbyville, Mrs. Jim (Betty) Taggart, Waldron, Lucy Saunders, Shelbyville, and Mrs. Joe (Rut Landwerlen, Shelbyville, 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy Funeral Service in Shelbyville with Rev. Robin Perkins. Burial will be in Benne cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 Tuesday at the funeral service.
