Mrs. Novella G. Crawford, passed on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Penn Nursing Center, Reidsville, NC.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Zion Baptist Church, Reidsville, NC. There will be a visitation 2:00 P.M. - 2:30 P.M. prior to the service. Pastor Michael A. Long will bring the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Ruffin, NC.
Novella was born January 16, 1918 to the late, Sam P. Gwynn and Matilda King Gwynn. She was educated in the Casville County School System. Novella was a member and mother of Zion Baptist church where she served as past chairman of Missionary Circle # 1. She served as treasurer of the Elks Dunbar Temple # 463, and a member of the community flower club.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters; Lula Crawford Bass (Harold Bass), Ruffin, NC, Thelma Crawford Smith Bell (Samuel), Jackson, Miss, special son; Dennis Morgan, Reidsville, NC, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother-in-law; Calvin C. Crawford (Gladys), Reidsville, NC, two sister-in-laws; Annie Mae Tate, Reidsville, NC and Mary Jane Crawford, Greensboro, NC, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
