Dorothy R. Bassett Crowley, RN of Lowell
Mrs. Dorothy Rita (Bassett) Crowley, RN of Lowell died Monday morning APril 12, 2004 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, MA.
She was married to the late Mr. Daniel F. Crowley who died November 11, 2001.
Born in Lowell on June 2, 1918, the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Katherine (Donovan) Bassett. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1936 and St. John's Hospital School of Nursing in 1939.
Dorothy was employed over the years as a private duty nurse with area hospitals and private homes, as well as the Christian Hill Nursing Home until her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford.
She was a member of St. Margaret's Blessed Virgin Sodality, the Seaton Guild and a past Girl Scout Leader in Lowell.
She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Mary Louise and Patrick Cullinan of Wolfeboro, NH, Kathleen E. and Philip Moore of Lowell, Pattie and Robert DeLuca of Chelmsford, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Arthur J. and Althea (Collins) Bassett of Boyton Beach, FL, Edward L. Bassett of El Paso, TX, as well as ten grandchildren, P. Michael, Sean C., Timothy R. and Charles D. Cullinan, M. Shannon, David and Meghan Moore, Robert Daniel and Kittie DeLuca and nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews. Dorothy was the siter of the late T. Frederick Bassett of Lowell, the late Rev. Sister Mary Felicitas O.P. of St. Catherine's KY, the late Alice Bebler, RN of Chelmsford, and the late Claire Bassett, RN of Lowell.

- Funeral Thurs. at 10AM form the DOLAL FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD
- Funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford, MA.
- Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Lowell.
