Donald David Bass
Bass, Donald David, 82, of Wildwood, FL, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Gainesville, FL.
He was born October 15, 1930 in Trenton, FL. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Churchy, Coleman, FL. Mr. Bass was a farmer who enjoyed growing watermelon and was known by everyone as ?The Watermelon King.? He enjoyed music and signing Country Gospel.
Mr. Bass was a resident of Wildwood since 1975 and loved his family. He is survived by his loyal wife and constat companion since 1978, Azelee ?Faye? Bass of Wildwood, FL; sons, Wayne (Martl) Bass of Leesburg, FL, Ronnie (Jackie) Bass of Wildwood, FL, Michael (Linda) Bass of Dunnellon, FL, and Billy (Tina) Bass of Rock Hill, SC; daughters, Renee (Gary) Morse of The Villages, FL, and Dana (Christopher) Beauchemin of Hartford, CT; stepson, Terry (Billie) Howe of Rock Hill, CT; stepdaughter, Lisa (Greg) Bailey of Rock Hill, CT; and 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Marlene Bass. A visitation will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, Coleman, FL, on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 10 ? 12 PM. Services will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Mark Reichard presiding. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1040 Woodcock Rd., Palmetto Building #119, Orlando, FL 32803.
