He left this world on May 28, 2013 in Fall River Mills. He was a lifelong resident of the Intermountain Area. He worked for the PG&E Hydro Department in Burney for 42 years and was a 30-year member of the Fall River Fire Department. He loved to fish, golf, spend time with friends and family and go to the Pit River Casino. He is survived by his wife Barbara of Fall River Mills, daughter and son-in-law Julie and Johnny Humphreys of Burney, daughter Melinda Bassett of Fall River Mills and son Rick of Redding, CA, grandson Markus Bassett of Fall River Mills, step grandchildren, Donny Humphreys and Tina Humphreys of Burney, Jeff Dowty of Fall River Mills, sister Toni Diaz of Fall River Mills, brother Harold (Gail) of Fall River Mills, brother?s?in-laws Dan (Connie) Sloan of Portland, Oregon, Jim (Mary) Sloan of Sacramento, CA, sister-in-law Ruth Covington of Burney and numerous great- randchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Andy, his parents, stepmother Iris Bassett and his brother Jack Bassett. Services will be held at a later date.
