Bassett-Dodge
Miss Alice Claire Dodge of Berlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Dodge of Berlin, and Raymond Eliot Bassett, son of Professor and Mrs. Samuel E. Bassett of 295 South Prospect street, were married in an afternoon ceremony Saturday at the home of the bride?s parents. Rev. B.G. Lipsky of St. Johnsbury, performed the ceremony.
The bride was attired in a gown of white satin and wore a long tulle veil. Miss Myrlin Dodge, a sister, attended as maid of honor, and was gowned in blue velvet. George I. Hagar of Burlington, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, acted as best man.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. The attractive decorations were in charge of John Boyce.
Upon their return from a wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Bassett will be at home at 78 Loomis street.
Mrs. Bassett is a graduate of the University of Vermont, class of 1931 and is a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Mr. Bassett, who attended the University of Vermont for one year and is a member of Delta Psi fraternity, was graduated from Yale University in the class of 1928. He now holds a position in the University of Vermont press office.
Out-of-town guest includes friends and relatives from this city, Randolph, Montpelier, Barre and West Newbury.
