Willna Walker Wed
Attractive Willna Walker exchanged wedding vows with Hugh Leon Bass Jr., of Roseville Saturday morning, August 31, at Fair Oaks Letter Day Saints church.
Bishop Floyd Robinson performed the double ring ceremony before 100 guests. The bride?s father, Phillip Charles Walker, gave his lovely daughter away.
White lace over satin fashioned the wedding gown, which featured a tight bodice, full ballerina length skirt and long sleeves. A brief veil was held in place with three white carnations and the bride carried a cascade of white carnations surrounding an orchid.
Sister of the bride, Barbara Hays, of Orangevale, served as matron of honor dressed in an autumn gold, ballerina length taffeta. She carried a cascade of gold roses.
Father of the groom, Hugh Bass, sr., of Orangevale, served as his son?s best man while Denny Hays of Orangevale, the bride?s brother-in-law; and George Lawson of North Highlands, showed guests to their seats.
Father of the bride hosted the wedding reception at his 7716 Chestnut avenue home. Beside a white three-tiered wedding cake trimmed in turquoise, a buffet supper was served.
Those serving were Karen Bowns, Linda Tolson and Louise Ybright. Diane Manzo had charge of guest book.
The bride, a senior at Bella Vista, donned a blue sheath; white accessories and pinned on her orchid corsage before she left for their honeymoon at Tullock Lake.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Goldie Steward of San Luis Obispo while the groom?s mother is Waunita Bass of Roseville.
He works for Western Electric in Fair Oaks and is a sophomore at Sacramento State.
Out-of-town guests for the wedding were the bride?s Godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Gomez of Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. Mondo Massone of El Sobrante.
