Gardner Man Heads Winchendon School

Winchendon, May 29 - Paul A. Bassett, head of the department of science of the Gardner high school and formerly head of the science department in the Murdock high school here, has been elected principal of the Murdock school, which he left two years ago to go to Gardner. He succeeds Carl R. Stone, who has resigned to accept a position elsewhere.

Elect Bassett Head of Gardner School

Gardner, June 12 - Paul A. Bassett, sub-master of Gardner high school, was elected today as principal to succeed Stanley W. Fenno, resigned. Mr. Bassett has been in charge of the institution for the last three months following the resignation of Mr. Fenno because of ill health. He was graduated from Westleyen in 1917 and before coming to Gardner as sub-master, three years ago, he was principal of Murdock high school in Winchendon.

Reverend E.D. Bassett to be Buried at Manlius
Reverend Edward D. Bassett, formerly of North Manlius and pastor of First Methodist Episcopal Church in Seymour, Connecticut, who died at his home there Tuesday, will be buried in North Manlius cemetery at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon. Mr. Bassett is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kate Adams Bassett, former resident of North Manlius and sister of Carl W. Adams of North Manlius, a son, Paul Adams Bassett of Gardner, Massachusetts, and a daughter, Mrs. Elida Cory of Bay Shore, Long Island. Services took place in Seymour Thursday afternoon.
