Marjorie Elizabeth Bassett “Lady Bug” Leeman
Services for Marjorie Elizabeth ‘Lady Bug’ Bassett Leeman, 77, of Houston will
be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Guadalupe Funeral Home, 5100 North Freeway in
Houston. Mrs. Leeman died Monday at her home in Houston. She was born Jan.
21, 1931 in Palestine to Bobbie Kiensiel and Johnny Bassett. She is the
granddaughter of John and Fannie Basset of Palestine. Mrs. Leeman was a
graduate of Palestine High School. She was a member of the First Christian
Church in Palestine. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents,
husband, Eddie Leeman and daughter, Nanci Kay Otto Crowley. Mrs. Leeman is
survived by two sons, Walter F. Otto Jr. of Houston and Terry and wife Susan
Otto of Houston and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters,
Elizabeth Mason and Charlotte Whitaker of Palestine, uncle Clifford Bassett of
Palestine, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 9
p.m. today at the funeral home.
