Mark Bassett
Mark Bassett, 67, of Richland Center, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 7, 2026, with his devoted wife by his side. Mark was born on April 5, 1959, in Woodruff, Wisconsin, the son of Gerry and Donna Bassett. Growing up in Wisconsin?s Northwoods, he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors that remained a defining part of who he was throughout his life.
Mark shared a devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Gloria Bassett, and treasured the time they spent together building a life filled with love, faith, family, and adventure.
Mark never met a stranger. He had a gift for connecting with people, making them laugh, and lending a helping hand whenever he could. His generous spirit and willingness to give back left a lasting impact on countless friends, neighbors, and community members.
An avid outdoorsman, Mark found joy in hunting, fishing, camping and exploring the trails on UTV adventures. Many of his favorite memories were made alongside his faithful dog and hunting companion, Libby.
A man of deep faith, Mark used his relationship with God as his compass throughout life. His faith guided his decisions, strengthened him through challenges, and shaped the kindness and compassion he showed to others.
Mark also possessed an incredibly creative mind and entrepreneurial spirit. Through hard work, vision, and determination, he built and operated Jewell Hollow Woodcraft, reflecting his ingenuity and passion for creating something meaningful.
Above all, Mark will be remembered for his warm heart, quick wit, unwavering faith, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the love he shared so freely.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Bassett, step-daughters: Ashley (Austin) Parduhn and Stephanie (Justin) Holter; grandchildren: Kutter and Kylee; sisters: Debbie Bassett, Tina (Eric) Blount, Becky (Ron) Anderson; many extended family members, dear friends, and ??loved ones whose lives he touched. Mark is also survived by four children from an early marriage.
Mark was preceded in death by his infant daughter Rebekah Bassett and his parents Gerry and Donna Bassett.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
