Visitation will be held on Monday September 19 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Our Lady of Hope Parish St. Agnes Church 701 Little Gloucester Rd. Blackwood NJ. A funeral mass will begin in the church at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cub Scout Pack 177 at the above address.

Leland H. Bassett, age 86, of Gloucester Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Beloved husband of Yvonne Bassett (nee Griffin). Loving father of Deborah (Carl) Peretti, Celeste A. (Eugene) Clemons, Jeffrey A. (Carla) Bassett, Steven J. (Michelle) Bassett, Sr., Alan T. (Terri) Bassett, Charles P. (Leslie) Bassett, Sr., Melanie K. Bassett, Germaine G. (David) Egrie, Matthew D. (Donna) Bassett, the late Leland Bassett, Jr., and the late Thomas L. Bassett. Proud grandfather of 35 and great-grandfather of 45. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Leland was predeceased by his brother Donald Bassett, Sr.
Leland was born in Malone, NY and had resided in the Glen Oaks section of Gloucester Twp. for the past 40 years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He then went on to work as an Executive for the Boy Scouts of America from 1955-1987. An Eagle Scout himself, Leland served Boy Scouts in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mr. Bassett was also involved in the United Way, Kiwanis, Rotary, and served as a Communicant at Our Lady of Hope Parish.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Agnes Church, 701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood, NJ. A funeral mass will begin in the church at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cub Scout Pack 177 at the address of the church above.
