Thomas E. Simpkins Funeral Conducted
Funeral services were held today for Thomas E. Simpkins, 74, rertired carpenter of 6512 Charlotte Ave. at Pettus-Oewn & Wood Funeral Home.
Maurice O?Neal, minister of the River Road Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Simpkins, a nativ of Nashville, died Saturday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ewing Bass.
In 1905, he was married to the former Miss Flossie Pierce of Nashville, who died two years ago.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ewing Bass and Mrs. C.L. Rist; a son, Thomas Simpkins, Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Emmie Drake, all of Nashville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Simpkins? nephews served as pallbearers.
