Lucille Collins Hill
CAMDEN - A memorial service for Lucille Collins "Granny" Hill, 69, of Camden will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Wateree Baptist Church. Rev. Bobby James will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, make memorials to Wateree Baptist Church Window Fund, 2024 Haile Street, Camden, SC 29020.
Mrs. Hill died Sunday, September 13, 2009. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Theodore R. and Cora Bass Collins. She was a longtime volunteer with the Kershaw County School System, having donated her time at Camden Elementary and other schools. She was a member of Wateree Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Burroughs "AB" Hill, Jr., daughter, Melba H. Driggers and her husband Randy of Camden, sons, Derric Hill and his wife Ann of Camden, Kevin Hill and his wife Renee of Sumter; grandchildren, David (Donna), Trent Driggers, Ryan and Jason Hill, a stepgrandson, Austin Watson; greatgrandchildren, Abbi and Neil Driggers; brothers, James A. Collins of Detriot, MI, Gary Collins of Bishopville, Gerald Collins of Lugoff; sisters, Kathleen Gordon of Camden, Libby Watts of Jefferson, Pearl Outlaw of Camden. She was predeceased by brothers, Leonard F. Collins and Theodore R. Collins, Jr.
