Thomas Joseph Bassett, Jr., 95, of Biloxi, MS passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Biloxi.
Mr. Bassett was born in Providence, RI on April 7, 1923. He was a veteran of WWII, The Korean War and the Vietnam War, retiring from the U.S. Air Force as MSgt after 33 years of service. Mr. Bassett was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Fr. Patrick McAlpine Knights of Columbus Council 9094 in D'Iberville, Brother Reinhart Schroeder Knights of Columbus Council 9409 in Biloxi, as well as the Honor Guard in Fr. Francis Deignan 4th Degree Assembly in Ocean Springs.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Marie Bassett; his sons, Thomas Michael "Mickey" Bassett and Christopher A. Bassett; his parents, Thomas J. Bassett, Sr. and Minnie Wood; and his brothers, Eugene D. Bassett and William C. Bassett.
Mr. Bassett's survivors include his children, Mary (Thomas) Myers, David (Christine) Bassett and William "Billy" (Danielle) Bassett; his daughter-in-law, Amanda Yates Bassett; his grandchildren, David Myers, Sara Myers (Theo Parsons), Julie Myers, Jamie Bassett, Keely Bassett, Alex Bassett, Kara Smith and Heather Freeman; and his great-grandchildren, Tristan, Lexi Jo and Joseph Bassett, Johnathon Baker and Olivia Audrey Myers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 12:00 pm. Friends may visit from 11:00 am until mass time. Interment with military honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Christopher A. Bassett, 36, a resident of Dahlonega, GA, formally of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014, from an automobile accident.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Audrey Bassett.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Yates; his children, Tristan (6 years old), Lexi Jo (4 years old), and Joseph (8 years old); his mother, Mary (William) Myers; his twin brother, William and his other brothers, David and Jason; his sisters, Sara and Julie; his maternal grandfather, Thomas Bassett, Jr. and his goddaughter/niece, Olivia Myers.
Christopher received his diploma through Job Corp and completed the MS National Guard Youth Challenge program at Camp Shelby. He was currently working for Prime Retail Services and was a master carpenter. He enjoyed designing and then building his ideas. His creativity could be seen in anything he built. He married into the TIDE Nation and developed a love for Alabama Football (RTR). His love for his wife and his children was undeniable.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at 2pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
