Ella Bassett
Mrs. Ella Bassett Dies in Pueblo Hospital, aged 79
Mrs. Ella Bassett, 79, resident of Huerfano County since 1898 died in a Pueblo hospital this morning after a three weeks illness. Mrs. Bassett was born in Rice, Texas, May 18, 1877. As a young woman she came to Walsenburg and had made this her home since that time. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Leslie of Walsenburg and Charles of Los Angeles, by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced later by the Burress Memorial Chapel.
