William E. Bassett
William Ellsworth Bassett, 77, died Sunday, February 3, 2002, of cancer. Born in Eustis, Florida, Mr. Bassett, a retired Naval aviator, moved to Kentucky following retirement from his second career as a test pilot for Grumman Aerospace Corporation in New York. He is survived by his second wife, Nancy of Monticello, Kentucky; sons, William Edward of Hope Valley, Rhode Island, Michael Howard of Denmark, Maine; William Ellsworth of Allentown, Pennsylvania; daughters, Krisstine Ferguson of Virginia Beach, Michele Marchese of Rockypoint, Long Island; and eleven grandchildren.
