  Notes	The Times Herald, Port Huron, Michigan, 4 August 1999 Jeffery C. Bassett MARINE CITY ? Jeffery Charles Bassett, age 51, of Marine City, went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 30, 1999. He was born in Mt. Clemens, MI. on June 17, 1948, a son to Russell C. and Violet J. (Keller) Bassett. Mr. Bassett served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant (E-5). He was employed by Chrysler Corporation in the Center Line Parts Depot/Plant and retired following 30 years of service with them. Surviving are his sons, Joseph R. (fiancé, Bryanne Bremerkamp) and Richard B. Bassett, both of Marine City; his mother, Violet of Marine City; sisters, Mary Jo Reynolds of Esat China, Kay (Richardf) Osterland of Marine City and Debra (Bradley) Maxwell of Kimball Twp.; and nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the St. John?s United Church of Christ, 227 West Blvd., Marine City, with The Rev. Harvey W. Reh officiating. The family will receive visitors in the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are by the Bower-Rose Funeral Home.
