David John Bass
BASS ? Funeral services for David John Bass, 59, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Hardage and Sons Arlington Funeral Home, 5540 Arlington Rd., Rev. Jack Dinsbeer officiating. Mr. Bass, of 4834 DeKalb Ave., died Tuesday evening in a local hospital. A native of Dublin, Ga., he had lived in Jacksonville since 1919. He was a shipfitter for over 25 years, and was associated with the Bellinger and Son Shipyard. Survivors include his beloved wife, Mrs. Hazel M. Bass; his beloved children, Mrs. Eva Julia Coggins, of Wichita Falls, Tex.; Mrs. pearl Anite Mobley, this city; Mrs. Bonnie Mae Weltzel, of Cerritos,, Calif.; David E. Bassett, William C. Bass and John L. Bass, all of Jacksonville; one sister, Mrs. Roy Harville; five brothers, Alfred Bass, William G. Bass, Henry W. Bass, Robert C. Bass, and Hoke S Bass, all of this city; 18 grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews including Bobby Bass, George Bass, Johnny Bass, Raymond Bass, Leon bass, Gerald Bass, Ricky Bass, William G. Bass Jr., James Bass, Robert, Clinton Bennett, Carlton Bennett and Chester Bennett; and one cousin. Pallbearers will be: James Bass, W.G. Bass Jr., Michael Odum, Gerald Bass, Leon Bass, and Johnny Bass. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park.
