- Frank N. Bessette, 38, died unexpectedly at his home in Vergennes on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. He was born on Sept. 8, 1971 in Burlington, the son of Milford Bessette and Charlene (Anair) Bessette. He graduated from Colchester High School, class of 1989. As a young child he participated in Boy Scouts, and was a pitcher for his local baseball team. He was also fond of building and setting off rockets, which he and his mother would light off together. Frank was proudly employed as a supervisor by MFB Construction, a family owned and operated business, where "Frank" was the "F" in MFB Construction. Frank helped grow the business to where it is today. He will be greatly missed by all. He was also formerly employed at Severn Trent Laboratories for several years. He enjoyed gatherings at the family home in Georgia. Spending time on the boat, fishing, and camping were among some of his favorite past times, but mostly he cherished spending time with his children. Frank was an amazing father and friend to everyone who knew him. Frank is survived by his children, Kyle Bessette, Jayden Bessette and stepson, Erik Lavery; his father, Milford Bessette and his step-mother, Sharon Bessette, and biological mother, Charlene Anair; step-sisters, Julie Deyette and her fiancé, Scott Lavigne, Tammy Abajian and her husband, Paul, and Angie Deyette; his girlfriend, Angela Tierney Greene and her children, Dustin, Brandon and Ashley Tierney; Lorraine "Memere" Mathieu; many nieces, nephews and extended family; fellow co-workers, Mark, Dana, Terry, Kenny, Bill and Brad who were like family to him. And last but not least, the newest addition to his family, his yellow lab puppy, Harley. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m., with funeral services celebrating Frank's life on Thursday, Aug. 26 at 11 a.m. at the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St. in Winooski. Interment will follow at Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington.
