Born March 9, 1931, in Nancy, France, she was the daughter of the late Andre Richard and the late Louise Richard. She was a member of St. Anne/St. Jude Catholic Church in Sumter. Survivors include two sons, Richard Bessette (Gay) of Bullhead City, AZ and Frank Bessette (Antoinette) of Panama City, Florida; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Dean, Joshua, Samantha, Tylor, Hunter, Stephanie and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Ariella and Elijah; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Odette Richard. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Fr. Ronie Lorcha, CRM. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
