Reverend Bassett's Brother Dies in Indiana
Charles S. Bassett, 47, of Oakland City, Indiana, brother of the Reverend John C. Bassett, pastor of Providence Methodist Church, died suddenly Monday in a restaurant in Dale, Indiana. He was a salesman for Swift and Company.
Surviving besides the brother here are the wife, Louise; a son, the Reverend Don Bassett, student at Garrett Biblical Institute; a daughter, Mrs. Allen Buteleus, who was married Saturday; a grandson; his father, John L. Bassett, Evansville; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Murphy, Evansville; and brothers G.W., Henry and Gene, all of Evansville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Oakland City. The body is at Lamb and Son Funeral Home there.
