Micheline Marie Bassett
GALION, Ohio -- Micheline Marie "Arlene" Bassett, 94, of Galion, formerly of Litchfield, Maine, died Oct. 20.
She was born Feb. 8, 1917, in St. Jacques, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Joseph Morin and Eugenia Laplante. She was one of 27 children.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Bassett, formerly of Litchfield; and her daughter, Bertha Bassett, formerly of San Bernardino, Calif.
She is survived by daughter Carol Morgan and her husband, Ronald, of Gardiner; daughter Ruth Loyd, of Bucyrus; son Clement Bassett of California; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Church of God in Bycyrus.
A memorial and committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Foursquare Church, Old Brunswick Road, Gardiner.

Micheline Marie Bassett
GALION: Micheline Marie Bassett, 94, of Olentangy Woods, Galion passed away Thursday at 8:20 pm at Olentangy Woods, she lived a long full life. Micheline was born Feb. 8, 1917 in St. Jacques, Canada to the late Joseph Morin and Eugenia Laplante.
She was married April 3, 1937 to Harold Bassett who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by daughter Bertha Bassett.
Micheline is survived by children; Ruth Loyd, Bucyrus; Clement Bassett of CA; Carol Morgan of Maine; 16 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bassett was a member of the Bucyrus Church of God where services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. The Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is handling the arrangements and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
