Casey L. Bass
CUBA CITY, Wis. - Casey L. Bass, 23, of Cuba City, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Southwest Health Center Hospital in Platteville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, with Pastor Nelson Perkinson and the Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Friends may also may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service.
Casey was born on Sept. 12, 1990, in Lancaster, son of Brad and Susan (Bray) Bass. He graduated from Cuba City High School and worked as a machinist at Cummins in Mineral Point.
Casey enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, singing and all other aspects of music. He was very technically inclined. Casey loved being with his friends and family. He was very outgoing, funny and had a wonderful personality. His smile could light up a room.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Susan and Alan Simon, of Cuba City; a sister, Kalie (special friend, Adam Biffert) Cook, of Cuba City; three brothers, Andy (fiancee, Rachel Mysliwiec) Bass, of Benton, and Garett and Jaidin Simon, both of Cuba City; a niece, Bella Bass; his maternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Jane and Greg Staskal, of Cuba City; his stepgrandparents, Don and Dianne Simon, of Cuba City; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Brad Bass; his maternal grandfather, George Bray; his paternal grandparents, Marshall and Florabelle Bass; an uncle, Butch Bass; an aunt, Betty Kay Bass; and several cousins.
A Casey L. Bass Memorial Fund has been established.
