Pamela Frances Forsythe (Picture included)
WALLINGFORD - Pamela Frances Forsythe, 73, of Wallingford, loving wife of 51 years to Kenneth W. Forsythe Jr., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Regency House, Wallingford.
She was born in New Haven on Sept. 8, 1943, a daughter of the late Russell and Alberta Berlepsch Bassett. She worked as a receptionist and office manager in the medical field for many years until retiring. She was very active in her children's lives as a Den mother, Girl Scout leader, and was active in the PTA. She was a member of the ladies league at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hamden, enjoyed traveling and shopping, and especially loved being with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters, Allison Forsythe, of Wallingford, Jennifer Forsythe, and Tracey Forsythe, both of Cheshire; her son, Kenneth W. Forsythe III and his wife, Pamela A. Delucia Forsythe, of Hamden; her sister, Deborah Bassett, of Waterbury; her grandchildren, Cooper, Carter, and Ella Freeto, Ashley Maltagliati, Malloree Forsythe, Alyssa Forsythe, and Kenneth Forsythe IV; and her great-grandson, John Maltagliati Jr.; She was predeceased by her brother, Russell Bassett.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Regency House for the loving care and compassion they gave to their family.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 4 until 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory can be made to Autism Speaks, ATTN Web Gift, 1060 State Road, 2nd floor, Princeton, NJ 08540.
