Concord, NH ? Matilda Dorothea Sorel, of Auburn Street died on Friday morning, August 12, 2022 at her home.
Matilda was born, September 22, 1929 in Philipsburg NJ, the daughter of the late Carl and Ida Helmholtz. Matilda was a devoted mother and worker.
Matilda greatest joy was her family. She was always willing to help where she could. She was feisty and not afraid to fight for what she was passionate about. Matilda always made sure her birds, squirrels and chipmunks had food and water available. She loved roses because the reminded her of Jesus. She read her Bible daily gleaning wisdom and comfort.
Matilda retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Hampshire, where she had worked as a Data Entry Technician
Matilda is survived by her six children. Matilda, with her first husband Raymond Bassett had four daughters, Brenda, Rayleen, Mary and Sally and two son's with Alfred Sorel, Leo and Arthur. There are many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephew's.
A joint Graveside Service with her husband, Alfred will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 1:30pm at the NH Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303.
