George Norman Bass
George Norman Bass, 81, of Naylor, Ga. passed away Friday afternoon Sept. 28, 2012 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born April 11, 1931 in Valdosta, Ga. to the late James Will and Doris Nell (Monk) Bass. He was a member of the Naylor Baptist Church and retired from Solomon's Drug Company as a Drug Sales Representative. He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Betty Bennett Bass, and three brothers; Bunch Bass, Darrell Bass and Paul Bass
Survivors Include, daughter and son-in-law Patty and T.L. Jackson Metter, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law Norma Jean and Wayne Sandlin of Statenville, Ga.; daughter Kathryn Bass and Steve of Nashville, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law Dorothy and Frankie Rice of Hahira, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law Bobby Ray & Belinda Sharp of Hahira, Ga.; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-laws Bennard and Rose Bass of Rincon, Ga., Ronald and Patsy Bass of Savannah, Ga.; and sister Nancy Bass Bennett of Naylor, Ga.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Good Hope Baptist Church in Lowndes County, Ga. with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at Music Funeral Services of Lakeland, Ga. from 4 p.m. until 6p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Grace Hospice, 101 East Northside Drive, Valdosta, Ga. 31602.
